Sessa Orchid Sanctuary
Sessa Orchid Sanctuary is 24 Kms from Tipi is the first of its kind in the country, to be declared a Sanctuary of flowering plants viz. Orchids, the sanctuary houses more than one hundred eighty three species of varied Orchids.


Nechi-phu (Zero Point)

Shergaon

Eagles Nest Wild Life Sanctuary at Doimara area
The total area of sanctuary is 217.00 Sq. Kms. The sanctuary is home to various endangered species like Red Panda, Musk deer, Serow, Leopard, clouded leopard, Binturong, Himalayan Black Bear, Tiger, Elephant, Malayan Giant Squirrel and a number of non-human primates like Slow Loris, Assamese macaque, Rhesus macaque, Capped Langur. Three threatened bird species (Blyth's Tragopan Tragopan blythii, Rufous-necked Hornbill Aceros nipalensis and Rusty-bellied shortwing Brachypteryx hyperythra), five near Threatened species (Satyr Tragopan Tragopan satyra. Great Hornbill Buceros bicornis, Ward's Trogon Harpactes Wardi, Lesser Rufous-headed Parrotbill Paradoxornis atrosupercilaris and Greater Rufous-headed Parrotbill Paradoxrnis ruficeps) are found in the sanctuary. Eagle nest sanctuary is accessible by Bhalukpong Bomdila road in the Eastern side. Chaku-Tenga road passes through the middle of the sanctuary. The place is well connected with Tezpur, Rangapara, Guwahati, Bhalukpong and Bomdila through APST bus services. Besides private bus/taxi services also exists. The nearest Airport is at Tezpur.

Bomdila
The Headquarter of West Kameng District is a small out-expanding town situated at a height of 8500 ft above MSL. The main attraction are; Handloom and Textiles Emporium, District Museum, Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery ( Lower Gonpa), Bomdila View Point, R.R Hill Bomdila.

Dirang Valley
